Herbal healing; we've all heard of it, but what does it actually mean? It is the act of using natural ingredients to heal, cleanse and improve your well-being, both mentally and physically. At Cloak and Dagger, we're all about having a healthy mind and body, and we're going to tell you the ways you can naturally boost your health and become the baddest babe you can be!

Getting Rid of Negative Energy and Boosting Your Vibration

Energy is all around (and within) us, and if we're not careful, we can carry around negative energy that could be the result of an injury, lack of sleep, or simply having a bad day at work. By carrying this energy around with us, it begins to bog you down and drain your body and mind- not cool at all, babes! It's so important to regularly cleanse yourself, and there are multiple ways to do so.

Palo Santo

Palo Santo wood comes from a mystical tree in South America (it's name means "Holy Wood" in Spanish). Palo Santo is traditionally used for clearing the air with its fresh, cleansing smell. Burn the stick for a couple seconds and watch the uplifting smoke waft into the air- you'll be sure to feel the vibe change!

Himalayan Sea Salt

Pink Himalayan salt is commonly known to be the most beneficial and healing salt on the planet today.  It absorbs and regenerates energy, and you can also use it as a body scrub or bath salt to help with inflammation and healing wounds.

Lavender

Having some trouble sleeping or stressing over a bad day? We've been there! Lavender is the perfect solution for de-stressing and relaxing. Put a little packet of lavender underneath your pillow at night and notice how much better you sleep! You can also enjoy a lavender soaked bath- because who doesn't love pampering themselves?!

Tinctures

Tinctures are liquid extracts made from herbs. They are usually extracted in alcohol, but can also be mixed with apple cider vinegar. Some good herbs for anxiety, depression and mental clarity are Chamomile, St. Johns Wort, and Black Cohosh (which actually helps with menstrual cramps too, ladies)! Add a splash to your drink and mix thoroughly.

Teas
Tea is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to practice herbal cleansing, plus it tastes really good! You can get a tea for almost any kind of ailment, but our favorites are peppermint, ginger and echinacea tea. Peppermint is good for healing a sore throat, while ginger is helpful for nausea or an upset stomach. Echinacea tea, however, has properties that are known to boost your immune system in general, so drink up, babes!
Your body is your home, so make sure you keep it healthy, peaceful, and cleansed; that way you'll be strong enough to take on anything that comes your way. Stay well, ladies!
