CINCO DE MAYO! 4 Cocktail Recipes You Need To Try

It's Cinco de Mayo, babes! You know what that means; it's time to celebrate spring in the name of Mexico, and what better way to start the party than with some festive cocktails! Here's a few of our favorite Mexican-inspired drinks to kick off the holiday.

Mango Margarita

 Ingredients:

32 oz frozen mango chunks (approximately 8 cups)
1 cup tequila
2 oz. Triple Sec
Juice from 4 limes
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar (plus additional sugar for the rim)

Directions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Then, add sugar to a small plate and run limes along the top edge of the margarita glasses. Turn glasses upside down and place into sugar to sugar the rim. Pour the margaritas into the sugared glasses and you're ready to party!
Mint Mojito
Ingredients:
1/2 oz. lime juice (squeezed fresh)
1 tsp. sugar
3 mint leaves
2 oz. white rum
Club soda or seltzer
Directions:
In a small glass, muddle lime juice with 1/2-1 teaspoon of sugar. Add a few mint leaves, mushing them against the side of the glass. Fill glass 2/3 with cracked ice, then pour in the rum. Add the squeezed-out lime shell and mix it in with club soda or seltzer for a bubbly finish.
Spanish Sangria
Ingredients:
2 bottles red Spanish wine (or any red wine of your choosing)
1 cup brandy
1/2 cup triple sec
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pomegranate juice
Orange slices
Apple slices
Blackberries
Pomegranate seeds
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and let sit in a tightly sealed pitcher for at least 24 hours in the refrigerator before serving. After sitting for 24 hours, voila! Your sangria is ready.
Tequila Sunrise Mimosa
Ingredients:
Orange wedges, for rim and garnish
Sugar, for rimming glass
2 oz. tequila
1 bottle champagne
1/2 c. orange juice
Few splashes grenadine
Directions:
Squeeze juice from an orange around the rim of glasses and dip glasses in sugar. In each glass, pour 1 ounce tequila and finish off about half of the way with champagne. Top it all off with orange juice and a dash of grenadine and you're bubbly pick-me-up is finished!
Whether you're celebrating in Mexico or on a rooftop in New York City, these cocktails are essential not only for Cinco de Mayo, but for any Springtime party. We hope you relax, cool off, and enjoy with these sweet drinks!
