Stripes were originally introduced by the French navy, and soon after designers like Coco Chanel caught on. In the 60's during the mod movement stripes had a reappearance, seen on our favorite icons Brigitte Bardot, Fancoise Hardy, Anna Karina, Edie Sedgwick and The Velvet Underground.
