VINTAGE 1940'S HOUSE DRESS

Straight from the golden age of American style, this early 1940s silk chiffon print dress is the kind of piece that stops a room. Bold, graphic, and impeccably structured, it captures the confident femininity of wartime fashion at its most glamorous.

She has a bias cut that calls back to the late 1930s, but with some elevated 1940s detailing with the small red bows & square neck stitching. There is a side zipper and neck zipper, which allows the dress to slip on and still be well fitted. The pattern is a contemporary modernist countryside - small red barns, navy blue & green crop patterns against a pale yellow.
